Finally after 3 years, I finished hemming this terry cloth dress that I will use as a bath robe! I got the pattern from my mom’s collection. It’s copyright from 1980, so it still has 1970’s vibes. It was insanely easy to sew, the only reason it took so long was because of the fabric. For me, terry cloth feels amazing, but man can it do a number on a sewing machine! The fibers get everywhere. So, I ended up hand sewing the bottom hem. 🤦♀️

Oscar de la Renta was commissioned to design this Marie Antoinette inspired dress for a photoshoot with Kirsten Dunst to promote the movie. And of course the shot they use is of her draped oddly on her stomach over two chairs, hiding the best part of this dress!
I also don’t care for Kirsten Dunst as an actress, so I never seen the movie, but I have seen the costumes!

Hand sewing a narrow hem has been a good learning experience, but man does it take forever to complete! I not even a quarter of the way done and I’ve been doing this for an hour!
